Cupcake Party and Brotherly Love

Yesterday morning, I had two friends over for a fun cupcake party. Nothing is more fun then having some yummy treats and mama chat time! The kids had a great time too and were so ready for naps, win win!
After naps, we loaded up and ran some errands. Its funny to go to places we have been to before and the kids now start naming the places, "why are we going to Fred Meyer?, Oh we need to go to Chase bank, etc" haha!!
Once home, we played outside for the rest of the afternoon.
After dinner, we were sitting on the couch relaxing and I glanced over to see Nathan and Caleb cuddling on the couch. Nathan is an amazing big brother, the best one there is! He sure loves his "baby" as he calls him. I can tell they are going to be great friends throughout the years ahead. I will note though, Nathan CONSTANTLY tells me, "mama, I love Caleb, but no more babies okay? They cry a lot when they are little" haha, I guess Caleb stressed him out when he was a newborn lol!!! I promise Nathan, no more babies haha!!

Park, cupcakes, and......sledding?

Yesterday, we went to the park with some other moms. I am now one of the organizers of the local moms group, so any new members, I need to meet. Its actually really fun because I get to meet lots of new moms and thats always fun!!
In the morning, it was quite chilly, so we actually wore our Fall coats, it made me so excited because thats a sign that Fall is coming YEA!!!! The kids had a great time at the park and we stayed about two hours. We met some great ladies, and the kids wore themselves out. Caleb actually fell asleep in his high chair at lunchtime, little stinker!
In the afternoon, I made pink lemonade cupcakes for the cupcake party I am hosting today. Its a fun way to enjoy some yummy cupcakes with friends, in honor of my big 2-6 bday coming, AHHHHH sounds old right?
Once daddy got home, the kids were loving their cupcakes, as Nathan said "mama, you are so lucky to have three taste testers, Lindsey, Caleb and me". Yes, I sure am lucky, what would I do without my taste testers? Even daddy joined the test and all four of them gave me the thumbs up, yea!
The kids wanted to play outside for a while after their cupcakes, so of course, they pulled out their sleds and started sliding down the hill on them. Of course, right? Everyone sleds in August haha!
Once the kids were worn out again, we loaded them up and bought them happy meals for dinner, they were so excited!!
All in all, it was a wonderful day and it has been such a great week so far enjoying my babies before school starts next week. We have a fun 3 day weekend ahead, and a fun birthday celebration which means yummy birthday dessert!!!
Today is our cupcake party so I will have some cute pics from that tomorrow hopefully, : )

Back to School Prep

Yesterday, Lindsey had her preschool visitation. She met one on one with the teacher and was walked around the classroom, got to see all the toys, see the learning mat, etc. She was super shy through out it all, which was kind of weird to see, but she was so excited! Afterwards, I took her to get a haircut and she was so in love with it. She is such a girly girl. She sat there talking to the stylist, showing off her shoes, and when we walked out of the salon, she looked at me and said "I look so beautiful", haha. She starts preschool on Tuesday of next week and is so excited!!

Look at the mess they made in about 2 minutes, haha

Busy Busy Bees

This past weekend was a great one. On Friday, we went to a playdate and got to make ice cream sundaes. The kids were loving that one! What a great Friday afternoon!!
Saturday, after we spent the morning relaxing, we decided to head to the zoo that afternoon. We had not been to the zoo all summer, so the kids were so excited. Since the weather was great, it was packed, so no, it wasnt the most relaxing, but the kids enjoyed it!
Sunday, we went up to Grammy and Pop Pops house and had lunch. Afterwards, Pop Pop and Josh went to watch the Boeing golf tournament. They had a great time.
As we enter this week, it is my last week with all three kids home. Next week Lindsey starts preschool and Nathan starts kindergarten. I am excited for them but yet sad to not have them here with me. Oh the fun they will have though : )

7 kids, 1 mama

Yesterday, my friend brought her kids over for me to watch. She has two kids the same ages as Nathan and Lindsey. Currently, two more kids are staying with her, a 6 year old and 9 year old. She brought them over too! I had 7 kids in my house from morning to evening, he he! Yes, it was crazy but surprisingly not too difficult. Luckily, the older ones all occupied themselves for the most part and with it being nice weather outside, the backyard was the hangout. They colored in the morning, read books, watched a movie, played in the yard, etc. By the end of the day, I was exhausted! It was fun, but definitely tiring! To all the moms out there with lots of kids, I applaud you!!
On another note, Josh and I have been doing Insanity, a workout program, each night this week. It is 6 days a week and we have been doing it since Sunday. Our rest day is on Saturday and both he and I are looking forward to that. By the end of the program, Josh and I are so worn out ha ha. Between the kids, chores, normal life, and then Insanity, phew....craziness, but we both are enjoying it, as crazy as that sounds.
This afternoon we head to an ice cream play date so the kids are SO excited for that! Ill post pics later!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

My little ones

This week has been busy, relaxing, and productive all wrapped up into one. Yesterday, we had an at home day. In the afternoon the kids wanted to go upstairs and color. They made some cute pics and were so proud of them, that they literally carried the drawings around the house all day hehe.
Only about two weeks until Nathan starts kindergarten and less then that until Lindsey starts preschool. Its crazy how fast this summer has been going by. I am looking forward to them starting school since they are both so excited and I LOVE THE FALL. I am sad though since Nathan wont be home all afternoon each day : (
My little ones and turning into big kids, I must be getting old, : (

Pretty Pretty Prince(ss)

Last night, Grammy came over for dinner since Pop Pop was out of town. After we ate, Grammy was playing with Caleb. Caleb brought over one of Lindsey's princess dresses and cried at it begging Grammy to put it on him. She put the skirt part on him over his pants and then the dress was on his back, like a cape. Once he had it on, he walked around as though he knew he was so cute, hehe. What a goof. My little prince(ss) hahaha!!! I sure love that boy!

Weekend!

This past weekend was a fun one! It started Friday night, which was date night! The kids had so much fun with the babysitter and Josh and I had a blast trying out a new local restaurant. Saturday was spent running errands and having a movie night with Nathan, while Lindsey went to Grammy and Pop Pops. I also took Nathan school supply shopping since school starts in a few weeks! How exciting!!! Sunday, we went up to Grammys house for a yummy dinner and then came home to replace some bushes and work in the yard. Overall, it was an awesome weekend, productive yet fun!

Fun Week

What a relaxing, laid back, fun week we have had so far. The kids and I haven't had tons to do, but have occupied ourselves with playing in the backyard, the pool, stores, etc. Not much to talk about, but lots of cute pics from this week.
Tomorrow night, Josh and I have a babysitter coming over to watch our kids so we can have a date night! This is exciting because we typically have only relied on Grammy and Pop Pop to watch the kids one night a month for our date night, but we found a sweet girl that loves babysitting, and thought, why not add another night? YEA!!!! So excited for that, : )

The boys and Gunner

Such a goof, if I have my camera out, he follows me smiling wanting me to take his pic

Awww, I think they love each other

Lindsey said "mama, Im carrying my baby like you used to carry Caleb"

Nathan had to get in there and say "I have one more baby then Lindsey" haha

Pudding Face

Yesterday, the kids and I ran to the store to get some last minute ingredients for our first kid cooking class. While we were there, I told them that if they were good, they could pick out something for their afternoon snack. I was prepared to have loads of candy or chocolate dropped in the cart, but to my surprise, they both asked for pudding. Really? Pudding? They must not be my kids because MY kids would have asked for some Reese's peanut butter cups, or fudge, etc haha. Needless to say, we picked up a pack of pudding (vanilla chocolate....see? Not my kids.... I'm not a vanilla person haha). When we got home, they were SO excited to eat it, you would think I don't feed them or something. Their pudding cups were gone in about 5 seconds, just enough time for me to get in the door and put Caleb in his seat haha!
Today is our first cooking class and my kids are beyond excited! We are making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!
More pics from that to come later!!

Colds and the weekend!

On Friday, Josh and I had new bedroom furniture delivered. It was so much fun to see the room change and fill up. It looks great and we are so excited to be starting all of our painting, decorating, inside projects!
The kids had colds over the weekend, so they were quite cranky. Saturday was spent relaxing, playing in the pool, etc while daddy took a test for school. He is entering his MBA program in the fall, so getting things into place for that. He passed his test and is good to go, way to go daddy, we are proud of you!!
Sunday was spent relaxing with Grammy and Pop Pop and then heading to some stores in the afternoon. We ended up getting some frames for Lindseys room and I made some pictures to hang up since I was having the hardest time matching her bedding. I took normal picture frames and decorative scrapbook paper, added some white matting, and ta da, pictures to match her bedding haha!!!
This week, I am doing my first kid cooking classes, so I am so excited! Hope they go well, hehe!!

Our new bed set, dresser isnt in picture
