Cruising in Style

This past weekend, one of my friends from MOPS gave us their battery powered John Deere tractor for the kids to use. They were SO EXCITED. We were able to go on a few walks this weekend and they were able to catch up and ride the whole time! Nathan opted for the new tractor, and Lindsey opted for the ATV....they ended up switching halfway through because they had to share both! The tractor comes with a small carrying bin to wheel behind it, but since it was only one kid driving it, we took it off for the walk.

It is great now having two toys for them to ride, cuts down on the fighting and makes our family walks much more enjoyable!!

It was wonderful and the kids are having so much fun with it!!!

Spider battle!

So, this morning...I am doing some laundry when I hear Nathan and Lindsey calling for me. I go downstairs and they tell me they found a spider. When they showed it to me, that thing was HUGE....in my opinion, it was the size of a baseball, in actuality, it was probably around the size of a quarter. But come on, a spider is a spider, blech!!! So, I figure, I have a boy....wouldnt he be able to either kill it or move it outside?? Nope! I begged, bribed, pleaded with Nathan to PLEASE get rid of it, but he acted just as afraid. Finally, after about 15 minutes of literally going back and forth with Nathan BEGGING him to do it, I had to! Once I got up the courage, it was easy....but wow, talk about a start to a Monday!!

Point of my story is, I have a boy....who you would think would like bugs, snakes, dirt, etc. but he doesnt. My OCD rubbed off on him and now him and I are the exact same with what we are afraid of.....bugs! HAHA!!

Im crossing my fingers Caleb doesnt take after us and can be our exterminator....Nathan, Lindsey, and I need one!!! :  )

Happy Monday!!!!

Teething baby fun!!

So, I havent taken any pictures, I know....bad on my part....but Caleb has been teething again and is my little monster this week!! Still cute as ever, but WOW......that kiddo can be a grumpy one, LOL!!! He popped his canines two weeks ago, and now he is getting his front teeth...I know, he was backwards on that sequence. They are just breaking through right now and he is wanting to chew on EVERYTHING or cry haha!!! Needless to say, I have been a little busy with him and the other two.

Today, I start watching a little boy as well. He is going to be a little play pal for Lindsey since Nathan is going to preschool in a few weeks. He only comes one day a week, so its minimal. We are quite excited for him to join the troops hehe!!! Wish me luck as I add another to the three kids four and under!

Hope everyone is having a super week, only 8 days until I am 25, AHHHHHHH.....starting to sound old, :  )

Fun at the Zoo

On Saturday, Joshs work hosted a company picnic at the zoo. We decided to take the kids and ended up having an awesome time. We got there before lunch and were able to see majority of the animals. We took a break to eat a yummy lunch and meet some of Josh's coworkers, and then continue on for the rest of the zoo. The kids had so much fun and ended up going to bed super early that night!! All in all, it was the perfect Saturday at the zoo, good weather and all!!!

Such a big boy!

Over the last few days, it really hit me how fast Caleb is turning into a big boy!! Now, I know...he came out 9lb 7zo, so he has always been "big" but he is growing so fast and learning new things all the time, its quite exciting!!! He is coming up on 8 months soon and has almost 6 teeth (currently two more are coming), and is scooting (not quite crawling). Definitely loving watching him grow!!

Part 2....

On Saturday, Josh and I loaded up the kids and headed to a berry picking farm. We all picked raspberries so we could make our yummy jam! Nathan and Lindsey were huge helpers and had so much fun picking the berries and helping us. Nathan preferred to pick and eat them, not too big of a help since they all ended up in his mouth. Lindsey was quite the helper since she refused to put the berry in her mouth without cleaning it first (my OCD rubbed off on her I guess). Caleb, well.....he fell asleep which was a help since we didnt have a fussy baby to deal with. After we came home and played some more, Josh and I made some yummy jam! We have officially completed our batch of raspberry jam.....in the next few weeks will be our blackberry jam making! We are hoping to do a double batch of that and end up with 30 jars.....has to last a year and our family LOVES homemade jam on everything!!!!!
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend!!!

Double blog day part 1

Last week, the kids and I headed out to a park and decided to have a picnic. We had an AWESOME time. It was just me and the kids, and I can honestly say, it was one of the most fun days I have ever had with them. We were all so relaxed, having so much fun, laughing, playing, and of course, eating our yummy lunch!!! Lindsey and Nathan went all over the monkey bars, while Caleb had a ball in the baby swing. After we finished, the kids took awesome 3 HOUR NAPS and woke up in great moods. It was the perfect end to a great week and good start to the weekend!!!

Talk, chat, babble and more.....

So, I have some pictures on my phone that I have taken, but forgot to upload them to the computer.....so there are no pictures to share with this blog. This week has been very relaxing and low key. We have been able to get lots done around the house, enjoy the weather in the backyard, and most of all, just enjoy the day without cramming lots to do in it. Today we have a park play date, and tomorrow we are joining a bunch of moms for a different play date....should be fun!!

Nathan goes to preschool orientation in about two weeks, and school starts Sept 7! Can you believe it? I am still in awe that my boy is heading into school years, it makes me so excited for him and his upcoming new adventures. He got an awesome backpack that he is quite excited about and is already talking all about school, and how he is so excited.....we'll see how many years that "excitement" lasts :  )

Lindsey is growing like a weed, still a tiny little thing, but definitely growing in her knowledge and understanding. She has begun carrying on the funniest conversations and most of all, just keeping us on our feet, all the time! She is our free spirit child, just goes with the flow and follows her own beat!!! Such a cutie!!

Caleb started sitting up on his own and is getting so big. He is popping more teeth, currently has four and has two more almost in. He is eating tons of food now and trying new things all the time, its a lot of fun watching him grow since I was always "working mom" and never saw the day to day changes. He is definitely the perfect final addition to this family!!

Overall, everyone is doing great and getting big. I will update again once I upload some pics!!

Happy Thursday!!

Happy birthday to the best Pop Pop ever!!! We love you!!!

When Nathans away, us girls will play......

While Nathan was at VBS this week, Lindsey and I (Caleb too) did various activities. One of the days, we checked out a park in our new neighborhood! We had been told there was a good park in the neighborhood but never could find it. Finally we asked around, found it, and now LOVE it. Not only does it have swings which makes Lindsey TOTALLY excited, it had a tire swing, which is so much fun!!! Once VBS is done this week, we will be checking it out again, this time with Nathan!!
We have had a great first week in the house. Everything is coming together and looking great, and the kids love their new rooms, etc. Josh had to fly out of town the whole week on business, so the rest of us are anxious for him to get home to start hanging things on the walls, hehe!!!
All in all, it has been a wonderful week full of park play, VBS, errands, organizing, etc.

The tire swing was a huge hit!

Moving, unpacking, and all sorts of fun!

On Friday afternoon, we received the keys to our new house. We started moving immediately and finished around 11pm that night. Saturday was spent unpacking boxes and organizing, as was Sunday. We have all the boxes in the house unpacked, now onto the garage. What an exhausting, yet fun weekend!!! I tried to take some pictures, some turned out bad but at least you can get an idea of the house so far. I will try to update more as we get things on the walls, and decorated!!!
