Farewell.....for now...

So, after much thought, I have decided to stop this family blog.....at least for a while. I absolutely love looking back at the many posts I have done and being able to see my kids changing, growing, etc. However, I also feel that it has allowed me to stay connected with family and friends merely through this blog, and not actual day to day relationships. I want to connect with all our family and friends on a more personal level and know daily happenings, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Having this blog can sometimes allow for me to share little snippets of our lives and move on, not connecting with those reading it, or sharing the whole picture.

I would LOVE to continue sharing pictures, events, daily happenings, as well as stay connected with your lives, so whether we live near each other or not, there is always texting, phone calls, emails, Face Time, and more.

Most of you have my email address, but if not, feel free to shoot me an email at hayeskristin0624@gmail.com and we can stay connected to each other that way.

I may decide down the road to start blogging again, but at this point, I want to focus more on relationships and family!!!

Hope you are all having an amazing week!!!

Love ya,
Kristin

XOXO

Week Round Up

This last week, the kids and I had HORRIBLE colds. Usually a cold will not slow us down, this last week, it literally stopped us completely. I am still dealing with the cough as are the kids, but we are doing much better. I really think this sick season, we have been walking germ magnets. This germaphobic, OCD mama is loosing her mind ha-ha! Hopefully we can manage to stay healthy a bit longer this time, :)
Needless to say, I did not take a ton of pics because trust me, no one in the family wanted to have their picture taken and we were all too busy coughing, sneezing, whining, and laying around ha-ha !! I did manage a few cute ones though!!
This week is a new week and for that, we are grateful. Our health is returning and the sun is shining bright outside. What more can we ask for? Thank you Lord for the beautiful start to our week!!
We are busy this week with play-dates, parent teacher conferences, school, errands, etc.

Hope you all have a wonderful week and dodge any sicknesses!!!

After school, Nathan puts his slippers on even before he gets in the house, silly boy!!

Seriously, isnt she cute? So much personality and spunk!!

Mid Winter Break

Last week, the kids had no school due to mid winter break and President's day. It was kind of fun having them home all week and able to do whatever we pleased, and not be tied to a schedule. We had lots of fun. We went over to friends houses for playdates, went to the bounce house and jumped around, went to the Pacific Science center, and more. We had a busy week and are now looking forward to getting back to our normal schedule this week.
We all came down with colds over the weekend so we all sound terrible. Mine took my voice away and the boys have terrible coughs. Have I mentioned how ready I am for sick season to be over? : )

We started off the week playing outside

Valentine's Week recap

Last week was seriously one of the funnest weeks we have had a in while. We had lots of fun activities, the weather was great, we were all productive, and enjoyed lots of family time. (I have TONS of pics so this is your warning, its going to be a LONG post)

Gunner got his first professional groom last week since he is starting to blow his coat right now. He came back looking so pretty (handsome since he is a boy, hehe).

We had a really fun Valentines day playdate making cute hats at a friends house. The kids really enjoyed that and their hats lasted about 2 minutes before they were asking me for tape to "fix" it : )

The kids each had Valentines party's at their school and came home with huge bags of goodies from their friends. They were so excited to show each other the neat stuff in their bags and have me put on about 100 tattoos all over their arms. Josh and I got the kids little boxes of chocolates and a cute cup for their special Valentines gift and they were so excited! Im sure once they are older, the new cup wont be so cool each year!!

Nathan has been talking a ton about a friend at school named Jaime. I asked his teacher for his contact info and put together a fun playdate to get the boys together and meet his mom. We took the kids to gelato (our favorite) and had an awesome time. It was so neat seeing the boys get so excited to play outside of school and see how close they are!!

Friday night, Grammy and Pop Pop came over to watch the kids so that Josh and I could have a Valentines date night. The kids had a blast and were happily asleep when we got home. Josh and I went to a yummy seafood dinner at the Crab Pot and then over to the comedy club. We stopped at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for a peanut butter cup to top the night off!!! Definitely fun!!

Saturday was all about errands and chores, however, that evening, we decided last minute to join Grammy and Pop Pop in Seattle for a birthday dinner. We called up our babysitter last minute and were able to sneak away. Such a fun time and the view from the table was amazing. It was fun being able to have two evenings away to just be "Josh and Kristin" and not " daddy and mommy". (Not that I dont LOVE being that)

Sunday, we celebrated Grammys birthday a day early. We made yummy steak/chicken fajitas and had an awesome cheesecake. We also finished the last minute decorations to our family room and living room now that those rooms are painted. Nathan ended up coming down with pink eye, so he and I took off to urgent care, but he's on drops now and doing much better!!

And last but not least, TODAY is Grammys birthday!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! We love you lots and are Blessed to have you a part of our daily lives!! We hope you have an amazing day!!!!! XOXOXO
