Yesterday, Nathan went back to school after having a week of mid winter break off. He was so excited to get back to school, it was so fun to see the excitement.
After school, I picked him up and took the kids to my friends house to have an afternoon playdate and lunch. It was sooooo nice catching up with my friend and seeing the kids play. Since it was a nice day out, we took the kids down to the lake and let them throw rocks in the water and run around. We would have stayed longer had Caleb not decided to scream his head off the entire time. Note to self: skipping his nap isnt smart at fourteen months. Oh well, it was a blast and we all came home tired, which meant kids in bed early WOO HOO!! :)

Weekend fun!
This past weekend was so relaxing and great. Friday night, Josh and I made a yummy dinner of chicken tostadas, guacamole, and brownies. It was delicious and fun to make together. Saturday, we relaxed and ran errands and then that evening, Pop Pop took Nathan for a fun sleepover and I went to a neighborhood recipe exchange party. It was a blast! We saw two bald eagles Saturday on our drive home from a few stores, it was quite exciting!! Sunday, Pop Pop came over for lunch and then we relaxed the rest of the day. We went to the fish store and Nathan got his very own Betta fish, named Franklin. He was so excited and even decided he needed to go to bed early last night so that he could keep Franklin company as Franklin slept haha!!
I feel so rested and relaxed headed into the new week and its great!! We have lots of playdates this week and school is back in session, so things are returning back to normal. How fun!!!!

Cupcake Exchange Party
Yesterday, the kids and I went to a friends birthday cupcake exchange. All the moms brought one dozen cupcakes, sang happy birthday to their friend, and had a fun playdate. It was so much fun and the kids quite enjoyed their cupcakes! I slacked in the "photo taking" department, but luckily, my friend posted some pics, so I stole them from her, hehe!!! I love the idea of a cupcake exchange, I think I am going to have to steal that idea for Nathans 5th birthday, be on the lookout for that blog in April hehe!!!
Today will be an "at home" day, just catching up from the week and getting ready to relax this weekend. I have a "recipe exchange" party tomorrow night that will be quite exciting! Lots of exchange parties, haha!! Definitely looking forward to relaxing this weekend and enjoying the family time, :)

New additions to our Fishtank
This past weekend was quite a relaxing one. We ran errands, celebrated Grammy's birthday, and just relaxed. We were able to get over to the fish store twice and pick up two new additions for our tank. We added a new starfish to the tank, as well as an electric scallop. The scallop is probably the coolest addition as it literally has electric shocks going through it that you can see. Its really fun to watch! See the video above to watch it. I wasn't able to catch it moving, but it actually snaps open and close to move around, very interesting!!
Off to a new week and looking forward to it. Nathan has no school this week due to mid winter break, so lots of play dates and fun is in store for us!!!

James the Butler
My parents bought "James" many years ago to add to their house. Over the years, they moved him with them. Well, a while ago, they decided they no longer had a spot for him, but we did, so he moved in with us. He has been a great little butler, holding our drinks, bottles, kids toys, etc. The kids love him, Josh has a "love hate" relationship with him, and me....well I am grateful that he is so......obedient LOL!!! Lately however, James has not been too nice. Caleb and he also have a "love hate" relationship, only James tends to win their fights. Yesterday alone, Caleb pulled up to stand using him as leverage, and James fell over all three times, giving Caleb two bruises and a small wound. I tried telling Caleb "no touch", but the kiddo never listened. Needless to say, James has been banned to the closet until Caleb and he can learn to get along.
I will miss him, but theres a "no fighting" rule in the house, and James and Caleb dont understand that at this moment in time!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

Happy Valentines Day!
So, today is Valentines Day. Its always so fun to see all the hearts everywhere, the pinks/reds decorated everywhere, and just have fun with hearts/love/etc. Josh and I celebrated Valentines day this past Friday. My parents watched the kids, we went out to dinner and shopping. Then, Nathan had a Valentines party at school yesterday while Lindsey, Caleb and I went to a playdate to decorate Valentines sugar cookies. It was so much fun and the kids had a great day.
Nathan picked out his Valentine cards this year to give to his classmates and he even wrote his name on all 18 of them. I was so proud. He came home yesterday was a huge bag of Valentines, candy, cookies, etc from all the kids in his class. It was so fun seeing his excitement and remembering all the fun I had in school with it, now my kids are having!!
Today marks the one year anniversary from when I first started "blogging". It was so fun re-reading the first blog I posted about the kids and seeing how much they have changed in a year....click here to re-read it

A Glimpse of Spring
So for the last few days, the weather has been beautiful. Blue skies, sunny, and somewhat warm. It has been great being able to open some windows, go for walks, and just enjoy outside. Yesterday afternoon, the kids wanted to go play in the backyard, so I got their spring coats on (felt crazy since its February), and sent them out back with their snacks. They were out there for about two hours playing in their "play house", on their slide, and of course, making mud piles. It was so much fun watching them and anticipating spring time coming soon and us all being able to enjoy outdoors more than indoors hehe!!!

Weekend Relaxation
This weekend was quite relaxing. The weather was beautiful, the kids stayed in great moods, and we were able to get all our errands done quickly, leaving ample opportunity for relaxing!!
We had some friends over for smores one night, watched a movie another night, and went on walks/etc. Overall, it was the perfect end to our week and although I woke up not feeling so great (have a cold), I feel ready to go into the new week!!!!

Two halves equal a whole....
So, its been a while since I have posted anything about Josh and I. Usually I stay focused on kid topics. I found an older pic in my phone as well as a funny new one and decided to share them, : )
Now, to take a minute to brag. Last night, I went to my first Zumba class (SO MUCH FUN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT), when I came home, the dishes were done and trash taken out. Josh had given all three kids a bath, had the older two upstairs watching a movie before bed, and was playing with Caleb. What a good daddy huh?? Great hubby too, I sure lucked out!! : )
Anyhow, happy Friday to everyone, I am sooooo looking forward to relaxation this weekend!!

Bounce it up!
Yesterday, Grammy and I took the kids to Bounce it Up. Its a local bounce house that was closing business and its last day was yesterday. The kids were so excited to go there and had a great time. It was even Caleb's first time being able to use one of the "younger kid" friendly bouncing area. After the kids bounced around for about an hour, we left and went to get happy meals. It was a very fun morning/lunch for all of us and we will miss that place!!
